I have been helping clients in SW Florida find the right balance between coverage and cost on their auto, home, and life insurance needs for more than 10 years. I am a Fort Myers native, born and raised in our community, attending Cypress Lake High School before receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from the University of Florida.
I love taking the worry out of insurance for my clients and finding them the right coverage at the right price. After 10 years of managing the Coppin Insurance Agency, I am now the proud owner of Coppin Ferry Insurance.
Being a native, I spend as much time as I can on the water chasing fish! If the sun is shining and I’m not at work, you can probably find me on the water with a pole in my hand. I enjoy staying active, golfing, playing tennis, and competing in triathlons. I also enjoy giving back to the community, serving as the Treasurer of the IMAG History & Science Center, and on a United Way Allocations Board.

I’ve been in the insurance industry for many years and have worn many hats. My tenure and experience have allowed me to not only understand the ins-and-outs of insurance but also to service hundreds of families regarding their protection needs. My father, Dave Coppin, started our agency in 1971 at the Allstate booth in the Sears store at Edison Mall.
I have spent 23 years working to continue what my dad started. Our agency, the community, and certainly the insurance industry has changed a lot over almost 50 years. But the simple goal of protecting what matters to our customers for the best possible value is something this agency has always put first in everything we do. I continue to serve our clients and the community in an Administrative capacity for Coppin Ferry Insurance.

I refer to Southwest Florida as home since moving here from Michigan as a young child. I spent many years in the printing and graphic arts field prior to becoming a licensed agent in 2012. When I am not in the office, I stay very active. One of my favorite things to do is go hiking in the Georgia mountains. I enjoy being outside in the sunshine, often swimming, bicycling or gardening. On weekends, I like to unwind in the kitchen trying out new recipes or preparing some of my favorite classic dishes.
The best part about being an agent is that I have the pleasure of meeting so many interesting people. Everyone has unique needs when purchasing insurance. It’s important to me to ask the right questions so we can help protect you, your family and your future.

Having completed my licensing and certification in September of 2015, I’m newer to the insurance industry than some of my colleagues, but my 15+ years of customer service experience helps fill in any gaps and gives me a great background to contribute to this team. I love being able to help our customers make those important, sometimes life-changing decisions in part by making sure they have accurate information and can then make educated choices. Helping others is very important and rewarding to me and I get to do that every day in the world of insurance.
My family came from Cuba to New York, where I was born in the early 70s. Thankfully they later opted for the sunny southeast coast of Florida where I was raised and later married and started a family of my own. Now on the southwest coast of Florida, my weekends are family time!
Anything that I can do with my husband, children or grandchildren is what I enjoy most. Movies and the theater are two of my favorite things to do as well. Through my church, I have been able to volunteer in the community and assist in food and clothing drives. Nothing is more gratifying than reaching out and helping those less fortunate.

I am so happy to have moved to Southwest Florida from the Miami area in 2015. Before completing my insurance training and licensure, I worked for medical service providers. I was in the administrative department for cardiology and neurology groups that were very large, fast-paced practices. There I was involved in insurance verification, patient services, scheduling and billing. I am now very happy to have moved to the world of personal lines insurance, where I can really help people protect the things they care about. My family and I love to relax together on the weekends and enjoy this beautiful area.
